Subiaco Business Sustainability Workshops – Follow Up Sessions

We are now in a position to progress the ideas that came out of the constructive and enthusiastic discussions that took place on 28th April 2012.

Having reviewed the outcomes and commonality of issues we have decided, to achieve the best outcome from ongoing involvement, to amalgamate some of the workshop groups to have just four groups come together initially.  This will also enable people to be involved in more than one group.  We will be organising a follow up gathering in approximately 3 months’ time to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the business community and to review progress across all of the groups.

The Subiaco Business Association will facilitate each of the groups. The City of Subiaco has generously provided meeting facilities and we thank them for their support.

The meeting focus will be on:-

  • advancing the quick initiatives
  • prioritising the other initiatives identified
  • developing the initiatives,   and
  • identifying actions and responsibilities for advancing the initiatives.

The groups, meeting dates and times are as follows:

Group 1 – Date: Tuesday 15th May – 5.30pm-6.30pm. Venue: City of Subiaco Offices, Administration Building, Meeting Room 1

  • Vibrancy for main street, hospitality, events
  • Precinct revitalisation

Group 2 and 3 – Date: Monday 21st May – 5.30pm-7.30pm. Venue: Tom Dadour Community Centre, 363 Bagot Road Subiaco

  • Marketing
  • Attracting youth
  • Target Markets
  • Collaborative culture amongst business in Subi

Group 4 – Date: Wednesday 30th May – 5.30pm-6.30pm. Venue: City of Subiaco Offices, Meeting Room to be confirmed

  • Transport and Parking

To enable effective planning of each workshop,  it would be appreciated if you wish to be involved with a particular group to email SBA at info@subiacobusiness.com.au with your name and the group that you wish to attend, (note. you can select multiple groups).   Please respond by email to the SBA office by Monday 7th May 2012.
