| Description | The WA AIDS Council continues to be a community-based, not-for-profit organisation that provides a diverse range of services to the Western Australian community. At the core of our organisation is a range of values which reflect our vision of strengthening our communitys health and quality of life. Our mission is to minimise the impact and further transmission of HIV, other blood borne viruses and sexually transmissable infections, whilst demonstrating leadership and excellence in education, advocacy, support and health enhancement services to the Western Australian community. The WA AIDS Council has over 30 staff focused on the provision of high quality services for people living with HIV/AIDS, which includes counselling, community education and prevention services, diverse sexuality education, fundraising, social marketing & HIV Awareness events. The values which underpin our mission and focus include: community, commitment, equity, excellence, accessibility and accountability. As a charitable organisation, all donations over $2 to the Western Australian AIDS Council are tax-deductible. |
